Care as a Spiritual Practice: Practicing Ahimsa in Everyday Life
For the next two months inside The Portal, we'll be exploring care as a spiritual practice.
In the Yogic tradition, ahimsa is often translated as non-harming. While this teaching is usually discussed philosophically, this season invites us to experience it directly through the way we move, relate, and meet life each day.
Care is often sold as something external; a product, a purchase, or a reward we earn after we've worked hard enough. Yoga offers a different perspective that care can be as simple as choosing presence, being rested, and leading with compassion rather than perfection.
Through Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness practices, we'll explore how small acts of care can become a way of living, helping us connect more deeply to ourselves, one another, and the sacred.
Below you'll find the Seasonal Arc, an introduction to the practices, classes, and reflections that will guide us through June and July.
If this season speaks to you, I'd love to welcome you into The Portal.
Inside you'll find a living library of yoga classes, meditations, seasonal practices, and live gatherings designed to support a more mindful and embodied life.
